COURTESY VISIT TO PENANG ISLAND CITY COUNCIL (MBPP)

GEORGE TOWN, 21 July 2026 – The President of the Association of Authorized Land Surveyors Malaysia (PEJUTA) led a delegation on an official courtesy visit to the Penang Island City Council (Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang – MBPP). The visit aimed to strengthen bilateral relations between PEJUTA and the local council while fostering strategic collaboration in urban planning, land administration, and development control across Penang Island.

During the meeting, PEJUTA put forward a strategic proposal to establish a SPEAD committee within MBPP, modelled after the successful framework implemented by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur – DBKL).The SPEAD platform—comprising Surveyors, Planners, Engineers, Architects, Landscape Architects, and Developers—serves as an integrated consultative committee designed to harmonize interdisciplinary expertise in municipal development.
